Individual Psychotherapy

I offer a relational, integrative approach with a specialism in Transactional Analysis (TA). My work supports greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and the possibility of meaningful, lasting change.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, disconnected from yourself or others, or aware that something in your life no longer feels sustainable. Individual psychotherapy offers a confidential, supportive space to explore what is happening for you and to begin making sense of your inner world.

Integrative Psychotherapy with Transactional Analysis

My work is integrative, drawing from a range of therapeutic perspectives, with Transactional Analysis as the core framework. TA offers a clear, relational way of understanding how early experiences, internal patterns, and relational dynamics continue to shape our present-day lives.

Through this lens, therapy becomes a collaborative process of noticing how you relate to yourself and others, where old strategies may no longer serve you, and how new choices can gradually emerge.

What Individual Psychotherapy Can Help With

Individual psychotherapy can support you if you are experiencing:

  • Stress, burnout, or emotional overwhelm

  • Anxiety, low mood, or feelings of emptiness

  • Repeating patterns in relationships or work

  • Low self-esteem or harsh self-criticism

  • A sense of being stuck, lost, or unsure of direction

  • Difficult life transitions or identity questions

This work is not about “fixing” you. It is about understanding your experience with compassion, increasing awareness, and supporting change at a pace that feels right for you.

How Transactional Analysis Supports the Work

Transactional Analysis provides a shared language for understanding your inner experience and relational patterns. Together, we may explore:

  • How early experiences continue to influence your present responses

  • Internal conflicts, self-critical voices, or survival strategies

  • Ways of relating that limit spontaneity, intimacy, or vitality

  • New, more autonomous and life-affirming ways of being

TA emphasises awareness, choice, and responsibility, supporting you to move towards greater freedom and authenticity in your life.

How I Work as a Therapist

Sessions are collaborative, relational, and responsive to what you bring. I work attentively with thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and relational dynamics as they arise within the therapeutic relationship.

I aim to offer a space that is:

  • Grounded

  • Attuned

  • Respectful of your pace and boundaries

Therapy may involve reflection, dialogue, noticing patterns, and gently experimenting with new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Fees

Initial session (60 minutes): £60

Block of 6 sessions: £360

If you decide to continue after the initial session, I offer sessions in blocks of six. The first block costs £360 and is paid in advance. We would agree on a regular weekly time that is mutually convenient and reserved for you. After 6 sessions, we would review and you can decide if you'd like to continue with further sessions. Some people access counselling for short-term and others find long-term therapy is more suited to their needs.
